The city of Chania lies on the northwest coastline of the island of Crete.

Direct charter and scheduled flights connect Chania with many European cities. Multiple daily domestic flights also connect Chania with Athens.

The city can be reached from the airport by bus or taxi. Buses are available at low rates (about two euros) and leave the airport approximately every one hour. Detailed timetable information can be found here (http://www.e-ktel.com/en/services/online-ticket-reservation). Taxis are also available at the airport. The cost of taking a taxi from the airport to Chania is about 25 euros.

The venue of the Conference is the Conference Center of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICH), which is located 4km from Chania city center and 13 km from the airport.
