Crete

The city of Chania lies on the northwest coastline of the island of Crete.

Direct charter and scheduled flights connect Chania with many European cities. Multiple daily domestic flights also connect Chania with Athens.

The city can be reached from the airport by bus or taxi. Buses are available at low rates (about two euros) and leave the airport approximately every one hour. The cost of taking a taxi from the airport to Chania is about 25 euros.

The conference venue can be reached from the city center of Chania by bus No 13. Buses leave every 20min from the city center. Tickets cost 1.20€ one way and should be obtained in advance at any kiosk downtown (tickets are available inside the bus at a higher price). Taxis from the city center to MAICH, cost about 10€.
